What's the best choice for a swing set? Metal, wood or plastic? - swing set plans rapidshare
Looking to buy a swing for my niece and cousins, but I do not know what. I live in an area that rains a lot, but it's hot in the summer. I want to be able to play on her all year. If I get one in a forest, I have to worry about splinters? A metal will get rust or sharp edges? A plastic will crack and break?
Thank you,
Ashley =.)

Metal, when you consider what happens in the near future, or if you know, goes in then I would go stay with wood. It will be easier to make it last longer and is easier to remove if you have a problem
Metal
Decay and requires more maintenance and is very heavy, so it is difficult to move
Plastic does not hold up to UV light
Metal because it lasts longer than plastic and wood
When I was a child ... in the 70's (OMG) had a swing made of metal. It is now almost 40 years (OMG!) And another swing in the garden of my parents. We played it with all our cousins, our children have played on it, and if my children have their own game itself. Metal lasts forever, everything you need to do is with the color when rustcoat began to paint oxidize, and it's good for another 10 years pass. It rains and it snows a lot where we live, and do not cover in winter, and the momentum is good to go in the spring. All children were recovered, it was used as a jungle, mangrove tries Barbie, and nothing was damaged and has never damaged any of us. Choose the metal. The wood has a ton of maintenance, plastics, and not least the sun. Have fun and good luck!
